The first of the two documents required for renting a car is, of course, a driving licence. The second necessary document to complete all formalities is an ID card. Both documents must be valid on the day the agreement is signed and throughout the entire rental period. Therefore, it is important to check in advance whether the rental period falls within the validity of the renter’s driving licence and ID card.
It sometimes happens that the car is driven not only by the person renting it. The eligibility of all persons who will drive the rented vehicle must also be confirmed by a valid driving licence and ID card, both of which must remain valid for the entire rental period.
