Facebook

The website uses plugins, buttons, and other social tools provided by the social networking site Facebook. By displaying a web page containing the Facebook plugin, your browser sends information about visits to the administrator of this social networking site.

Because the plugin is a fragment of the social networking site embedded in my site, the browser sends a request for content from that social networking site. The plugins collect certain information about you, such as your user ID, visited website, date and time, and other information about your web browser.

Facebook uses some of this information to personalize the viewing conditions of my site. For example, when you visit a page with the "Like" button, the administrator of the social networking site needs to know who you are in order to show you which of your friends also like my page. The information collected by Facebook may also be used by Facebook for its own purposes, such as improving its products, creating user profiles, analyzing and optimizing its activities, and targeting ads.

Facebook collects and transfers information even when you browse my site without being logged into your social networking site account. However, in this case, the browser sends a more limited set of information. If you are logged into Facebook, the service administrator will be able to directly associate your visit to my site with your social networking site profile.

If you do not want Facebook to directly associate data collected during visits to my website with your profile in the social networking site, you must log out of that service before visiting my site. You can also prevent the loading of plugins on the page by using appropriate browser extensions, such as script blocking.

In addition, using some plugins may involve posting certain information on your social media profiles. For example, information about clicks on the "Like" button may be available on your Facebook timeline. Of course, if you share any content on your social media using plugins embedded on my site, this sharing will naturally be visible on your profile.

As for the details related to the processing by Facebook of information collected by plugins, in particular the purpose and scope of data collection and their further processing and use by Facebook, as well as the possibility of contact and your rights in this respect and the possibility of settings to ensure your privacy, you will find everything in the Facebook Privacy Policy.
